Combined Open Dressage and Open Showcross Show with BBQ!!

at Club field, Balcormo

Double the fun, with a bbq over lunchtime. Open to all (members and non-members, adults and kids). Something for all. Dressage from Intro to Elementary starts at 10am. Showcross from 50cm - 1m starts at 11am. Rosettes to 6th Place (entry dependant) in each class.

One Class: Online pre-entry £8 for NEFRC Members £10 for Non-Members. Two or more classes: Online pre-entry £7 for NEFRC Members £8 for Non-Members. No on the day entries for dressage, but limited on the day entries may be available for showcross classes.Members £10 & Non-Members £12. Entries can be made online through club entries or by post. Entries open and full and schedule available from club entries on 30 July, 2018

Closing date for dressage and showcross pre-entries is Thursday 16th August, times for dressage to be issued Friday 17th

A scrummy BBQ lunch with homemade coleslaw and salads, cake and coffee be available at the club house, £4, please book so we know how much to cook.

Clear Round XC

Train over a variety of portable xc fences on a surface, including water, ditch, skinniest and more. Classes to start at 5.30pm and will run in height order: 50cm, 60cm, 70cm, 80cm, 90cm, 1m and 1m+. £10 per round. No booking needed, entries on the night. Rosettes for every clear round. Demystifying Dressage - an evening with Harry Payne


Almond Riding Club proudly presents an exciting & informative presentation by Harry Payne. Harry is a List 1 BD judge, an FEI 3/4* International Eventing judge, a UKCC Level 4 coach & has ridden at Grand Prix. During the evening, Harry will strip dressage back to basics with an simple explanation of the Scales of Training and what is required of horses and riders at each level. He will provide helpful tips on how to improve your marks in the arena and training methods to work with at home. This presentation will feature demonstration horses (of all breeds, shapes & sizes) from Intro-Elementary. The evening is tailored towards those already competing and those who are interested in giving dressage a go, no matter what horse you ride. It would also be of interest to any budding judges out there! Tickets are £15 per person and must be booked in advance. Arena Event

at Ovenstone Equine

We host classes for juniors and seniors on horses or ponies at heights of 60cm, 75cm and 90cm. All classes consist of 2 phase jumping rounds: show jumping followed by arena cross country. The show jumping course will be made up of approximately 8 - 10 jumps including a double. This will be immediately followed by the timed cross country phase. This phase will be started by the judge upon successful completion of the show jumping phase. The cross country section will consist of a further 8 - 10 cross country and working hunter type fences. It's great fun! All the safety of arena jumping with the thrill of cross country riding! All our cross country jumps are built and secured to BE standard. Body protectors and skull caps must be worn throughout the competition.
