Nicola Wilson demos and clinics

We are very pleased to welcome back British event rider Nicola Wilson to the North East of Scotland. There will be an afternoon clinic held at Fountain Equestrian Centre on Friday 16th where spaces will be limited. Following which, there will be a demo where Nicola will share her wealth of knowledge in training the horse from 4 years old to advanced level. Lessons on the Saturday and Sunday will be held at WHW, Aboyne.

Successful SJ & Confident XC

with Martin Arnott at Inchcoonans, Errol, PH2 7RB

This is a fantastic way to start your winter preparation for the event season next year! The Show Jumping will be in the large 60x40 outdoor arena and the Cross Country on the Power Course on the all weather woods and tracks. Depending on numbers you will be working in groups of 3 for 1 hour for each phase.

Martin will be working with both you and your horse to produce clear rounds in the show jumping. On the cross country you will be working on how to approach and jump the different types of fences in balance and in the correct gear.

Suitable for ALL levels of experience including wobbleberries 80(T) up to Novice/1*

Martin is a British Eventing Accredited Coach, British Show Jumping Accredited Coach, UKCC Level 3 Coach, EFI Level 2 Coach and a Horse Scotland Tutor. He has also evented to 3* level and show jumped to 4* level, both in this country and on the continent. Martin teaches all standards of riders from nervous novices to competition riders, offering encouragement and confidence for both horse and rider.

Erik is a World Class coach with para dressage and has been involved with Team GB since the run up to the Sydney Olympics in 2000. He is also on the Equestrian Elite Coach Apprenticeship Program (a scheme open to coaches with experience at senior level or above) and has trained, ridden and coached to National and International level. Erik chairs the BHS Training Committee and is an excellent coach, he will happily teach all levels (from walk/trot and upwards!) so don't let his credentials put you off!

Gridwork

10am-11am - gridwork for beginners (up to 70cm max) and 11am-12 noon - gridwork for brave pants for those who want to do larger grids.

Nicola is a BHSII (Stage 4 Coach in Complete Horsemanship) and has evented to BE100 level, ridden British Dressage to Elementary level and competed at both Regional and National Championship and Riding Club Championships. Nicola worked in an agricultural college for 7 years teaching riders of all levels and lecturing across a range of subject areas, having relocated to Fife she now manages a livery yard.

Ernest will cater for any level of jump rider starting with pole work novice rider/horse to international standard. If you need help ironing out any annoying blips that keep occuring, your own confidence needing some help or, just a watchful eye to give you useful tips Ernest is fantastic.

The lessons will in daylight be run outside if the weather is nice enough but, once we loose the light they will move inside. If bad weather all lessons will be inside. Group sessions available with no more than 3 in a group. Individual lessons are also available but please PM us to find out more details. Lessons to be run all through the day and into the night if your require 'after school/work' times.

His care for the well-being of the horse and the importance of correct and progressive work guarantees the building of confidence and physical fitness of both the combined horse/rider athlete. Prepare for the coming season 80(T) to Novice - Arena Cross Country

Cross country training indoors, working in groups of approximately 4 for 1 hour to prepare for the coming season. Distances, lines, skinnies and combinations will be worked on to get you and your horse into shape for your first event of 2019! This training is suitable for all levels from Wobbleberry riders/BE 80(T) up to BE Novice.

Sarah is a BE Accredited Coach, EFI Level 2, UKCC Level 3. She has an honours degree in International Agriculture and Equine Business Management. She is the only Scottish Coach to be chosen by British Eventing and put forward for the Elite Coaching for Excellence programme funded by BEF. She successfully runs Strathearn Eventing in Perthshire with her parents and is a popular, sought after coach. She was on the British Pony Three Day Event Team 3 times, winning team gold and bronze medals in Italy, Holland and Germany. Goosey Lucy represented Britain in Juniors winning in Ireland and Dallamore, a homebred advanced mare, was a member of the Rural Riders 2* team, winning Gold.

Cross Country Training

William is a fellow of the BHS, which is the highest qualification offered by them, has himself competed at Badminton and Burghley and is a BE Mastercoach.... just a few strings to his bow!
