SJ lessons

These sessions are to give you constructive ideas for your winter training at home when its cold and wet and you find it hard to be motivated to work on the dressage. We all know the dressage needs improved and Sarah will work on exercises which will help with suppleness, rhythm, impulsion and straightness. This in turn will make the jumping much more successful! Suitable for all levels from wobbleberry riders/BE 80 up to BE Novice.

Winter work for winning in 2019

A day to inspire riders to improve their skills over the winter. Working with poles, distances and fences to ensure your horse is in front of the leg, straight and ready to win in 2019!! 1 hour in groups of approx. 3 working on the flat, with poles and onto jump exercises.

BE U18 National Coach Caroline Moore FBHS. Caroline is a BE Accredited Master Coach and Junior Team Coach for British Eventing. Caroline has produced and ridden horses up to 4* level, competing at Badminton, Burghley, Bramham and Blenheim, as well as overseas. Caroline, now focuses mainly on coaching riders and other coaches to improve their skills, with the main aim to develop confidence and belief by building correct foundations. She is very experienced, full of ideas and great fun.

Ernest is one of the countries most respected coaches. He conducts clinics worldwide and throughout the UK. Ernest is highly qualified being one of the few Show Jumping Specialist Fellows of the British Horse Society. He is a UKCC Level Three Showjumping Coach and an Accredited BS Coach. He is also a British Eventing Master Coach and a UKCC Coach Educater. His care for the well-being of the horse and the importance of correct and progressive work guarantees the building of confidence and physical fitness of both the combined horse/rider athlete. One of his attributes is a good sense of humour and understands that a happy rider is a relaxed rider.

Nicola Wilson demos and clinics

We are very pleased to welcome back British event rider Nicola Wilson to the North East of Scotland. There will be an afternoon clinic held at Fountain Equestrian Centre on Friday 16th where spaces will be limited. Following which, there will be a demo where Nicola will share her wealth of knowledge in training the horse from 4 years old to advanced level. Successful SJ & Confident XC

This is a fantastic way to start your winter preparation for the event season next year! The Show Jumping will be in the large 60x40 outdoor arena and the Cross Country on the Power Course on the all weather woods and tracks. Depending on numbers you will be working in groups of 3 for 1 hour for each phase.

Martin will be working with both you and your horse to produce clear rounds in the show jumping. On the cross country you will be working on how to approach and jump the different types of fences in balance and in the correct gear.

Suitable for ALL levels of experience including wobbleberries 80(T) up to Novice/1*

Martin is a British Eventing Accredited Coach, British Show Jumping Accredited Coach, UKCC Level 3 Coach, EFI Level 2 Coach and a Horse Scotland Tutor. He has also evented to 3* level and show jumped to 4* level, both in this country and on the continent. Martin teaches all standards of riders from nervous novices to competition riders, offering encouragement and confidence for both horse and rider.

Erik is a World Class coach with para dressage and has been involved with Team GB since the run up to the Sydney Olympics in 2000. He is also on the Equestrian Elite Coach Apprenticeship Program (a scheme open to coaches with experience at senior level or above) and has trained, ridden and coached to National and International level. Erik chairs the BHS Training Committee and is an excellent coach, he will happily teach all levels (from walk/trot and upwards!) so don't let his credentials put you off!
